RFP: Appalachian Regional Commission - Worker Displacement in Appalachia

ARC is seeking proposals from qualified researchers and consultants to conduct an analysis of worker displacement in the Appalachian Region over the past decade. 

Analysis of data from the Displaced Worker Survey, along with other relevant data sources, will inform a report that provides a nuanced view of worker displacement throughout the region, including how experiences vary based on geography, industry employed, and worker characteristics.  

Required deliverables include:

• Final report that includes extensive analysis and discussion, as well as compelling visuals;  
• Staff presentation, which may be conducted virtually;   
• Edited datasets and results of statistical analyses; 
• Underlying GIS files for all maps included in the report. 

Key dates are outlined below. 

• Open Date: March 1, 2023  
• Proposals Due: April 12, 2023
• Selection Date: May 5, 2023
• Contract Period: May 10, 2023 - June 30, 2024
