Director of Health Data and Analytics
The Health Policy Institute of Ohio, a Columbus-based nonprofit organization, seeks a
full-time director of health data and analytics. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Lead organizational data management activities including data extraction, entry, analysis and reporting
  • Plan, monitor and/or conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups
  • Assist policy team with research and analysis
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of state and federal health data sources and policy issues
  • Conduct literature reviews and identify data relevant to Ohio policymakers
  • Write policy briefs, reports, etc.
  • Create charts, graphs and other tools to assist with understanding of data
  • Assist with proposal writing and grant reporting
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including policy makers
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with health data, policy, research, analysis, and project management
  • Excellent writing skills, including an ability to identify and review data and material from a number of source, then synthesize and summarize that information in a succinct,compelling manner
  • Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for health policy and health services research
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and PC applications, especially Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience working well with a team
  • Strong multi-tasking ability and attention to detail
  • Prior experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical analysis programs
Candidates for the Director of Health Data and Analytics should have an advanced degree (e.g. MHA, MPH, MBA, MSW, JD, MSN) and 3-5 years of professional experience.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance and generous retirement benefits.
