DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Program Specialist, Market Analyst works collaboratively with the OSU Extension Program Development and Evaluation Unit (PDE): assists with developing, implementing, and evaluating Extension programs, materials, and initiatives focused primarily on market analysis (e.g., program pricing, audience identification, program design, content and topic, and delivery), needs assessment / county program reviews, customer satisfaction surveys, and assessing Extension's public value in conjunction with state, field, regional and county-based Extension professionals. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS: (Required) Earned Master’s degree in Market Research / Analysis or closely related field, with course work in evaluation / research methods; analytical tools; analyzing, interpreting and applying data; market research, marketing strategies and planning; and / or statistics. Candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate should have excellent computer / data analysis skills and be able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as work as part of a team. Candidate should have strong familiarity with online survey software (e.g., Qualtrics) and database / spreadsheet software (e.g., Access, Excel). Candidate should have strong familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, NVivo). (Desired) Strong familiarity with and experience in Extension / community-based teaching and/or program development, implementation, and evaluation.
