  • Description of Position
    The University of Cincinnati College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) invites applications for a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate position in the college’s Evaluation Services Center (ESC). The Research Associate or Senior Research Associate will assist in the development, coordination and execution of research as well as program and policy evaluations in the fields of education, human services, and public health beginning Fall 2015. The Research Associate or Senior Research Associate will participate as a member and/or leader of research and evaluation project teams, actively promote and contribute to the Center’s continuous improvement, and contribute to the initiation of business development including proposal writing.

Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing program and policy evaluations and research projects employing strong methodological skills, especially in quantitative, statistical, and mixed methods.

The ESC provides program and policy evaluation support for university faculty and staff, as well as for local, regional and state-level education and human services organizations.   • ·         Education / experience requirements
    Earned doctorate in evaluation, education or social science and at least five years practical experience in evaluation/applied research; strong skills in program and policy evaluation and a minimum of three years practical experience in developing, coordinating, and executing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods program evaluation or applied research in education, human services, and/or public health; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and peers; experience working on teams; strong writing skills, particularly in the presentation of research findings to non-technical audiences; excellent oral communication and presentation skills in both small and large group formats; and excellent computer skills with expertise using statistical analysis programs such as SAS, STATA, R, or SPSS. Candidates whose academic credentials include program evaluation, applied research, active participation in evaluation and/ or applied research professional organizations, and experience with organizational management and leading research teams in conducting evaluation/applied research are especially encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and dependent upon preparation and experience.
