Title / Position: Assistant Director, Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Grant

  • Time period (e.g., permanent, 2 year contract, etc.): The duration of the Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Grant project is anticipated to be from January 2012 through December 2015.
  • Description of position: Serves as an Assistant Director for the Office of Early Learning and School Readiness: plans, directs, and coordinates policy, evaluation, assessment, and research methods related to initiatives in Ohio’s Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Grant.
  • Education / experience requirements: Minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, social sciences, educational assessment, education research methods, education, early childhood education, or related field, Ph.D. preferred.  Minimum of five years supervisory/administrative experience; five years of practical and applied experience in early childhood assessment, research, or evaluation; preferred experience in use of observations of early childhood programs for quality of adult-child interactions and environmental quality, and early childhood educator professional development and technical assistance.
