Grant Writer Position at Kent State University




The Grant Writer is responsible for the development and submission of Kent State University corporate and foundation grant proposals. The position is also responsible for the development, writing and editing of assigned grant proposals and reports; and assists the Corporate and Foundation Relations Officers in proposal development.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or relevant field; minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in grant writing and development is required. Experience in higher education setting and corporate and foundation relations are preferred.

The Institutional Advancement office is currently raising funds for the university’s Centennial Campaign, an unprecedented effort to raise substantial new resources for Kent State’s students, faculty and programs. Kent State completed its first major capital campaign in 2003, surpassing a $100-million goal by $22 million.
