Description of position: A Research Assistant oversees and implements quantitative and qualitative data analyses for various program and organization evaluation projects. Work involves collecting, cleaning, merging, aggregating, analyzing, and reporting data contained in several datasets. This position provides literature review, research support, and input as needed to the evaluation and research project teams. This is currently a part-time contract position with the opportunity for quick advancement to part or full time employment.
Education / experience requirements
· Bachelor’s degree required; Masters Degree preferred
· Three years of experience in designing, managing and analyzing datasets including data extraction, coding and analysis
· Demonstrated programming, statistical, and analytical skills in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and MS Excel, including experience writing and using syntax.
· Experience with Zoomerang and/or Survey Monkey programs and data
· Knowledge of rigorous research and evaluation methods
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
