Description
The Evaluation Fellowship is a 2 year, full time position. The Evaluation Fellow is part of Interact’s Evaluation, Research and Strategic Learning (ERSL) team, working under the leadership of the Director of Evaluation. The Evaluation Fellow will be assigned to specific grantmaking portfolios, and will be responsible for developing and implanting program evaluations of those portfolios. In addition, Fellows will take on small evaluation and community research projects, and provide evaluation capacity building to Interact grantees and community partners.
The 2014-2016 Fellow will be assigned to portfolios in Interact’s Healthy Eating and Active Living priority areas. Possible evaluation projects in those priority areas include:
· A multisite, multi-method evaluation of a regional implementation of the Cook for America program
· An evaluation of Interact’s efforts to create a regional infrastructure for physical activity
· An evaluation of Interact’s Join the Fun RFA, which aims to increase the number of people involved in physical activities
· Enhanced evaluations for specific community projects or grants (e.g, corner store initiatives, food hubs, etc.)

Education/Experience
· Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) a master’s or doctorate in a related discipline (evaluation, behavioral/social sciences, public health, etc.) between January 1, 2012 and June 30, 2014.
· Experience with program evaluation or applied research
· Knowledge of health promotion
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent team membership skills
· Demonstrated customer service skills
