Description of Position: Sr. Research Associate
The Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at the University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate. This position will be part of IPR's research team and will engage in all aspects of research and evaluation, provide oversight to a variety of projects and collaborate with IPR research staff. Activities will include designing, managing, administering, analyzing and reporting results of social science/public policy research projects. The position will also develop research and evaluation proposals and secure funding on an ongoing basis.
Education/Experience Req: PhD at time of appointment in social sciences research or health related research. Minimum of 5 years experience in applied social science/public policy research. Demonstrated record of successfully funded proposals to support public policy related research projects and served as a principal investigator on such funded projects. Experience in the design, administration and management of public policy related research projects. Experience using a variety of social science/public policy research methodologies (interviews, focus groups, surveys, case studies). Experience with statistical analysis and statistical software (e.g., SAS, SAS/INTERNET, SPSS Ideal Qualifications: Familiarity and willingness to learn additional software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office, GIS and others). Experience with survey tools and/or Web-based form applications (using WinCati, Ci3 and/or Qualtrics) are valued, and ability to work with technical staff on implementation of surveys with full understanding of the technology preferred.
