DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Works as an integral team member of the OSU Extension Program Development and Evaluation Unit (PDE), assisting with developing, implementing, and evaluating Extension programs, materials, and initiatives focused primarily on qualitative data collection methods and analyses (e.g., community needs assessment, focus groups) in conjunction with state, field, regional, and county-based Extension professionals.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS: (Required) Earned Master’s degree, with course work in qualitative evaluation/research methods. Candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have considerable teaching experience (formal or non-formal), as well as program development, implementation and evaluation experience. Candidate should have strong computer skills and be able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as work as part of a team. (Desired) Strong familiarity with NVivo (or other appropriate qualitative data analysis software) and experience conducting community-based needs assessments.
